Job summary

Description Must Have for this role: • We are looking for Strong AEM Engineer who has hands-on development and architecture experience with Adobe Experience Manager. • Someone with extensive experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, including AEM Sites and Assets. • Strong hands on experience with AEM Cloud Manager, CI/CD pipelines, deployment patterns, code quality gates and cloud-native AEM architecture. • Need strong knowledge of Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak, Dispatcher and established AEM development practices. • This person will be working with cross functional teams with engineering managers and technical leads to ensure architecture decisions are understood and consistently implemented. • Person who comes with the experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud is preferred. • Need minimum 10 years of experience into AEM development. • Bachelor’s degree is nice to have. Responsibilities: • As a Lead AEM Developer / Architect, you will provide high quality solutions to meet digital commerce and marketing needs in the implementation, enhancement, and support of features on a cloud-native AEM platform. • Translate business requirements into technical architecture, content models, component designs, workflows, integration patterns and AEM as a Cloud Service solutions. • Lead architecture and solution design across AEM Sites, Assets, Forms and AEM as a Cloud Service. • Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout solution design, development, testing, deployment and production support. • Work with the team to manage the transition from the current on-premises AEM platform to AEM as a Cloud Service while maintaining the existing platform until the migration is complete. • Help determine when to use traditional AEM Sites, headless AEM, hybrid delivery or Adobe Edge Delivery Services. • Review solution designs, pull requests and critical code changes to ensure alignment with architecture and engineering standards. • Partner with product and business stakeholders to evaluate scope, feasibility, tradeoffs and delivery options. • Partner with engineering managers and technical leads to ensure architecture decisions are understood and consistently implemented. • Participate in root-cause analysis for critical incidents and ensure architectural and systemic issues are addressed. • Maintain awareness of Adobe’s product direction and evaluate when new capabilities can provide meaningful business value. • Embrace a shift-left approach to software quality by using unit, integration and end-to end test automation to meet quality objectives. Qualifications: • Ten or more years of hands-on development and architecture experience with Adobe Experience Manager. • Extensive experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, including AEM Sites and Assets. •Strong hands-on knowledge of Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak, Dispatcher and established AEM development practices. • Experience with AEM Cloud Manager, CI/CD pipelines, deployment patterns, code quality gates and cloud-native AEM architecture. • Deep understanding of AEM integration patterns and content-centric application development. • Knowledge of cloud architecture, CDN strategies, caching, application security and web performance practices. • Experience designing and integrating APIs and enterprise systems with AEM. • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to engineering, product and business stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership across multiple teams and complex initiatives. • Experience supporting global, multilingual digital platforms. • Commitment to engineering quality, operational excellence and continuous improvement. Nice to have: • Experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud. • Experience integrating AEM with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection, formerly Adobe Launch, and Adobe Target. • Experience with Amazon Web Services. • Familiarity with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr or Lucene. • Experience with build and deployment platforms such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI. • Experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services, headless AEM or hybrid content-delivery architectures.
