Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities: Performs cashier duties as major function and performs other cafeteria duties to fill in as directed. Handles simple cash payments, makes change, sets up menu boards, and assists at counter when needed. SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION RECEIVED: Under immediate supervision of area supervisor. SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED:None. MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:Adding Machine, Cash Register, Change Maker, and other related equipment.TYPICAL DUTIES:1.Obtains cash boxes to be used. 2.Collects cash payments and makes change. 3.Uses standard procedure for non-paying customers.4.Counts money, turns in to proper personnel, receives receipt, and enters in records. 5.Stocks cash register with change and tape. 6.May perform bookkeeping of related information, such as number of customers, types of food served and purchased, and the like. 7.Performs Cafeteria Worker and other comparable duties as directed. QUALIFICATIONS:Requires the ability to read and write, and to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Requires facility in working with figures.
