Job Summary The Senior Research Analyst collects, develops, analyzes, and communicates institutional data and other information to constituents throughout the university, to support and enhance decision making, problem solving, strategic planning, policy development, and institutional self-assessment. The incumbent conducts and manages the design, implementation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative research for both internal and external parties. The Senior Research Analyst prepares data, analysis, narrative, and presents results. The incumbent assists in the creation of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards. The position assumes a senior role in regular and customized reporting, providing training, guidance, and structure to junior staff as necessary, in conjunction with the AVP. The Senior Research Analyst brings forward proposals for new projects and leads, designs, and conducts all levels of research projects in the department. Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required from a recognized, post-secondary institution. A post baccalaureate certificate in data analysis or equivalent is also required. A graduate degree in a relevant field is considered an asset. Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience, preferably in a higher education setting. Skill in data analysis, statistical software applications, and social science and business research methodologies. Experience in Advanced statistical, analytical and computer programming, preferably within higher education data systems and higher education topics. Ability to formulate and advance research projects. Ability to lead others in projects. Demonstrated experience in the successful management of multiple and short-term and long-term projects, independent completion of projects. Excellent verbal, written, numerical, and graphical communication skills. Demonstrated success in working collegially with administrators, faculty, staff, and students. Extensive experience with complex data sets including manipulating, merging, restructuring and analyzing large data sets. High capacity for accuracy and detail. Requirements

Candidates should have strong research, statistical, programming, data-management, project-leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, preferably in higher education.
