The School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES) examines life from the core of the Earth to its upper atmosphere, deep in time through to the present and modelling towards the future. Research within BEES is clustered within five general thematic areas; Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Climate Science Environmental Change, Sustainability and Resources Paleoenvironments and Earth History Marine Science The School in its entirety allows for a complete exploration and understanding of the Environment and world around us. The role involves managing feral exclusion fences, maintaining field station infrastructure, and conducting pest and weed control. Additionally, the assistant will support ecological research and monitoring activities, including wildlife tracking and data collection.

The officer will drive initiatives to improve access, participation, and success for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in higher education. They will build community partnerships and deliver culturally responsive support to foster an inclusive student experience.

The Senior Research Fellow will lead the research efforts of the Centre for Sustainable Development Reform by integrating social and equity considerations into the research portfolio. They are responsible for developing social accounting frameworks, managing research teams, and collaborating with government and coastal stakeholders to inform policy.
