Finish Carpenter / General Contractor: Micro Home Builds UR-SPACE · Calgary, AB About the role UR-SPACE designs and builds code-compliant micro homes and garden studios across Calgary. We're looking for an experienced finish carpenter who's ready to take ownership of a build from start to finish, not just swing a hammer, but run the job. What you'll do Act as General Contractor on our micro home builds, from groundwork through to final finish Own the schedule, the budget and the site, start to finish Complete the finish carpentry yourself: trim, millwork, cabinetry, detailing Source and manage the trades: electricians, plumbers, HVAC, concrete Coordinate suppliers, deliveries and inspections Keep the site safe, clean and organized Report progress to the project lead and flag issues before they become problems What you bring 5+ years as a finish carpenter, with proven quality of work Comfortable working independently, and equally comfortable directing others Experience delegating and coordinating subtrades: you know who to call and how to hold them to standard Self-sufficient: able to solve problems on site without waiting to be told Own tools and a valid driver's licence Red Seal certification an asset but not required What we offer Steady project flow with a growing micro home builder Real autonomy: you run your jobs, we back you [Compensation: $30-40 hourly plus bonuses] Opportunity to shape how we build as we scale To apply: send your resume and a brief note about a project you ran start to finish.
