Job summary

Duration: 1+ Year Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Application Architect III (Senior Solutions Architect) to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise healthcare solutions supporting provincial cancer screening initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the overall solution architecture, developing integration strategies, guiding technical teams, and collaborating with executive stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable digital health solutions. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in enterprise solution architecture, cloud modernization, healthcare systems, and public sector digital transformation, with the ability to bridge business objectives and technical implementation. Key Responsibilities Design and define enterprise-level solution architecture for large-scale healthcare applications. Develop architectural vision, solution blueprints, and technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives. Produce solution architecture documents, integration architecture, technical specifications, and API documentation. Design scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions utilizing modern architecture principles. Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives, including re-platforming legacy on-premises applications. Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, solution strategists, and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into effective solution designs. Provide architectural leadership and technical guidance to development teams while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices. Design enterprise integration strategies and define functional and non-functional requirements. Conduct technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for enterprise solutions. Present technical strategies and architectural recommendations to executive leadership and business stakeholders. Ensure solution designs comply with healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, including PHIPA. Support enterprise architecture governance throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 20 years of Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) experience. Minimum 6 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Solution Strategist delivering enterprise-scale system development, COTS, or SaaS implementations. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Solutions Strategist within digital healthcare in the public sector. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
