Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12-Month Contract Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week); no overtime, no rotation Employment Type: Contract (12 months); extension and conversion are possible Job Description Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced LMS Administrator to support enterprise learning initiatives across the United States, Canada, and Global operations. The LMS team configures, maintains, and optimizes the Client’s “MyLearning” platform, powered by SumTotal LMS, ensuring accurate audience targeting, compliance with training requirements, and efficient execution of day-to-day LMS operations. In this role, you will partner with Learning Solutions Architects, Program Managers, L&D Designers/Developers, and HR data teams to deliver scalable learning solutions. You will lead audience requirement reviews with course owners, build and quality-check LMS audiences against approval documentation, and process Business Learning Needs Requests and maintenance tickets with precision. The team of twelve offers a supportive, collaborative culture, and the role is fully remote within Canada with no travel requirements. Responsibilities Audience Scoping & Configuration Lead reviews of audience requirements with course owners and stakeholders. Create and store audience documentation, including the Audience Approval Document. Build and quality-check LMS audiences against approval documentation. Implement post-launch audience changes as needed. Interpret and apply HR data for accurate audience targeting. LMS Operations Process Business Learning Needs Requests (LNRs) and LMS maintenance requests. Perform LMS testing and configuration of eLearning courses. Configure Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual courses in the LMS. Execute day-to-day LMS operations and maintenance at enterprise scale. Collaboration & Support Partner with Learning Solutions Architects/Advisors (LSAs), Program Managers, L&D Designers/Developers, and HR data teams. Provide guidance on LMS capabilities and configuration best practices. Consult with internal stakeholders external to the core team. Documentation & Compliance Complete LMS Specifications Documentation for configurations. Maintain accurate records of configuration decisions and approvals. Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Required Skillsets LMS Platform Administration: 5–10 years of hands-on enterprise LMS administration, with prior experience administering SumTotal LMS. Audience Scoping & Targeting: Proven ability to interpret and apply HR data for audience targeting; experience scoping and configuring audiences in enterprise LMS environments. Course Configuration: Experience testing and configuring eLearning courses, as well as Instructor-Led and Virtual course types, within an LMS. Ticketing & Workflow Tools: Experience working with ticketing systems and workflow tools to process requests end-to-end. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in documentation, configuration decisions, and record-keeping. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage and consult with stakeholders. Data Integrity: Commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy and user experience across the LMS. Compliance Awareness: Understanding of regulatory and operational compliance standards in training delivery. Post-Launch Support: Ability to implement and manage post-launch audience and configuration changes. Remote Work Discipline: Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment (Canada). Preferred Skillsets Experience with Client or the broader financial services industry. Background in Instructional Design, HR, or a related field. Certification in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Human Performance Technology. Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or HR. Direct experience with the SumTotal “MyLearning”-style enterprise LMS environment serving US/Canada/Global audiences. Exposure to Learning Needs Request (LNR) processes and Business Learning Needs workflows. Experience supporting compliance/regulatory training programs at scale. Familiarity with Audience Approval Documents and LMS Specifications Documentation. Experience collaborating with Learning Solutions Architects/Advisors (LSAs) and Program Managers. Track record in a supportive, team-oriented L&D culture of 10–15 people.
