Duration: 5+ Months Contract with possible of extension Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in Capital Markets to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade trading and financial applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and distributed systems, along with a solid understanding of capital markets, trading platforms, securities, and post-trade processing. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, traders, product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to build scalable, high-performance applications supporting front-office, middle-office, and back-office operations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications for Capital Markets platforms. Build scalable Microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand trading workflows and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Develop low-latency, high-throughput applications supporting real-time trading and market data processing. Integrate applications with exchanges, market data providers, OMS, EMS, and third-party financial systems. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Participate in system architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions. Implement secure coding standards and ensure compliance with financial industry regulations. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience. 3+ years of experience in the Capital Markets or Investment Banking domain. Strong object-oriented design and software engineering principles. Experience building high-performance, distributed enterprise applications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
