Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite initially, transitioning to 4 days onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract (Extension Possible) Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Azure Cloud, and SQL Server to join a collaborative Agile team delivering enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong coding skills, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to contribute throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll work within a Scaled Agile environment, participate in backlog refinement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build high-quality, cloud-based applications using modern development practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications. Develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Build responsive front-end applications using Angular. Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies. Apply software design patterns and best coding practices. Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code. Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize GitHub for source control and Jira for Agile project management. Required Skills 7+ years of Full Stack Java development experience. Strong expertise in: Java Spring Boot Angular Microsoft Azure MS SQL Server Experience building cloud-native applications. Strong understanding of software design patterns. 7+ years of experience using GitHub and Jira. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working in Agile/Scaled Agile environments. Nice to Have Cloud Architecture experience. AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot/Microsoft Copilot). Kafka. Banking or Financial Services experience. Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Graduate degree is considered an asset.
