Your Role: You will work closely with underwriters and underwriting assistants to support the binding of insurance, as well as collaborate with insurance brokers to service policies and follow-up on underwriting information. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate across departments: Work with multiple teams to ensure the best possible outcome for our customers while minimizing touchpoints and optimizing service delivery Evaluate information: Analyze applications, web search results, and business quoted via the web with guidance from coaches and leaders Process customer requests: Gather and review information to handle requests, including binder delivery and endorsements Decision making: Apply critical thinking, problem solving and an underwriting mindset, partnering with coaches to work within authority and obtain approvals when necessary Handle customer inquiries: Review and professionally handle all customer inquiries, focusing on quality, efficiency and providing exceptional service Professional development: Pursue growth and development opportunities through USLI University, continuing education, workshops, and classes Develop product knowledge: Work with coaches, leaders and underwriters to develop in-depth knowledge of all products handled within the specific Underwriting Assistant Team. Additional opportunities for cross-training are available long-term Understand interdepartmental collaboration: Develop understanding of interdepartmental relationships and the duties of each, including Policy Issuance, Underwriting Services, Billing, and Underwriting, to support efficient workflow execution What You’ll Bring: Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail Independence: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment Desire to learn: Eagerness to learn and understand our insurance product offerings and pursue continuing education Customer-centric focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service by placing our customers at the center of everything you do Effective communication skills: Ability to produce clear, concise, and effective oral and written communication which is adaptable to different audiences Qualifications: Education: Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience Salary range: $55,000-62,000 CAD This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
