The Opportunity We are currently seeking Mining Engineering Co-op Students to join our Mines Technical Services Department in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a 4 to 16 month fixed term position starting in January 2027 or May 2027. Please be clear in your application which start date you are looking for. As a Mining Engineering Co-op Student, you will undertake the duties required to assist the overall engineering planning, design & ventilation design for our Mines Technical Services Department Additionally, in this position you will: Follow Vale's Safety Policies, Programs and Legilative Standards. Develop skills and abilities related to the provision of engineering to Ontario Operations. Ensure compliance to the applicable regulations, standards and guidelines. Utilize good engineering practices while minimizing costs. Provide technical support to enable safe and cost-effective operations. Monitor process parameters and communicate changes outside normal operational conditions to supervisor. Complete assigned projects safely and on time. About You Education: Currently enrolled and in good standing in a Mining Co-operative Engineering program. Skills: Knowledge and experience in Windows based applications and Microsoft. Organizational, interpersonal communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven safety record. Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment. Maintain a high level of professional conduct. Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
