Job summary
Employee Location: Toronto, Ontario Salary range: $80K/yr - $90K/yr + commissions MISSION OF THE POSITION The Business Development Manager’s task would be to identify and develop strategic business relationships within the spa and retail industry. This position collaborates closely with the Sales Director, Marketing and Education team, to implement business development initiatives aimed at maximizing and expanding the Valmont footprint. Additionally, the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and managing long-term relationships within assigned accounts and territory. TASKS & DUTIES Effective prospection converting leads to sales (60%): · Identify and prospect potential partners for the brand within assigned territory. · Perform cold calling and initial outreach. · Introduce the brand through in-person meetings. · Close the openings, with the Training team and/or Sales Director when necessary. · Manage the account opening operations with the Valmont departments and coordinate the opening events. (training, marketing…) Portfolio management of existing Spa and Retail clients (40%): · Identify and implement personalized sales strategies to successfully enhance the customer experience and turnover. (ex. promotions, incentives) · Coordinate brand and sales events to assist our accounts. · Present the product launches to the account staff. · Oversee the customers inventory and monitor orders. · Recommend best merchandising practices. (ex. retail spaces, treatment rooms) · Conduct Product Knowledge assessments. · Negotiate the addition of new product lines and Valmont facials. Other Responsibilities: · Conduct thorough competitor monitoring within your network. · Engage with the local communities in innovative ways. · Provide recommendations for potential local media campaigns. · Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, including events and activations. · Participate in various virtual corporate meetings and attend in person corporate conventions. QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field. · 3 years experience in a business development or prospection role. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. · Prior experience in the luxury cosmetics industry, Medispa and hotel experience is an asset OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATIONS · Capacity to travel unrestrictedly throughout North America.

Requirements
