Reports to: The Early Childhood Educator reports to the Program Manager. Here’s how you will make a positive impact on a day-to-day basis: * Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences to meet individual and group needs of all children and families of a childcare program. * Guide and care for a group of children ages 3 months to 3 to 5 years old * Encourage learning and develop positive self-concepts for children * Ensure a healthy and safe environment for children * Maintain effective and cooperative teamwork and communication * Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parents and families In addition to being a wonderful and positive person & team player, you must have: * ECE basic | ECE Infant / Toddler &/or Special Needs Certification * Childcare First Aid and Food Safe Level 1 * Well-developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication * Strong knowledge and awareness of: * Emergent curriculum and the BC Early Learning Framework * Developmental needs of children * Family engagement strategies and parenting issues and needs * Guiding and caring strategies * Knowledge of broader childcare field and its role in the community Additional skills and experiences may include: * Childcare experience working in an inclusive childcare setting * Second Language Terms of Employment: * Salary: $27.85 to $28.74 per hour plus employer-paid health and welfare benefits. In addition, you may be eligible for a $6 per hour Provincial ECE Wage Enhancement. * Full-time (37.5 hours per week) * Starting: As soon as possible * Location: MULTIPLE LOCATIONS DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER The posting will remain open until filled. Requirements
