optometric assistant

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team, working primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Candidates must be detail-oriented, organized, friendly and extremely professional. All training is provided. *Work Schedule* *Training (Summer):* Tuesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM Wednesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM Saturdays: 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM *Regular Schedule (September onwards):* Tuesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM Wednesdays: 11 AM - 7 PM *Duties* * Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures at the front desk * Performing administrative duties, such as: scheduling appointments, authorizing insurance and billing, data entry, and managing inventory. * Preparing patients for eye examinations: pre-testing patients using eye-testing machines, performing depth and color perception tests, performing retinal imaging scans, and educating patients on proper contact lens care. All training will be provided. * Assists with the cleaning and disinfection of office equipment and exam rooms *Experience* * Experience in a similar setting is an asset but not a must. * Experience with contact lens wear is an asset but not a must. Pay: $17.75 per hour Application question(s): * When are you available to start the position? * During summer training, the position is for: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
