Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT Location: Victoria, BC Compensation: $27.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience and skills Department: Surgery Schedule: This position is full-time. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days per week. Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist RVT to join our Surgery Department! This role will work closely with our surgery team, including TWO board-certified surgeons, to provide excellent care to patients requiring this service. The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care and technical skills (including anesthesia). You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement on cases with various degrees of complexity; you will also have a board-certified anesthesiologist available to weigh in on protocols and procedures. Previous experience in a specialty surgery role would be an asset but is not required. Registered Veterinary Technologist or eligible to register Perform clinical procedures: venipuncture, Catheter placement, radiology, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment Willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia, mechanical ventilators Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast-paced environment Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents Proven ability to keep accurate patient records Strong ability to problem-solve and adjust priorities as necessary What We Can Offer You Competitive compensation that reflects your skills, experience, and the role.
