Job summary

Location: Remote, Canada — must be a Canadian resident (data residency and compliance requirements) Engagement: Contract, 3-month term with possible extension Start date: ASAP, target onboarding before August 21, 2026 About the role VCMx is building Lilium Care, a PHIPA-compliant AI-assisted healthcare navigation platform connecting patients with regulated healthcare providers. We're looking for a developer to take ownership of deploying our MVP to a Canadian-jurisdiction cloud provider and maintaining our Hyperledger Fabric blockchain layer through launch. This role is deployment-first: your primary mandate is standing up our staging and production environments on Canadian cloud infrastructure and getting our platform live ahead of our September 1, 2026 MVP launch. Our codebase is built and version-controlled on GitHub; cloud provider selection is in its final stages, and no staging deployment has happened yet — you'll be building this from the ground up. Blockchain maintenance is a close second responsibility. What you'll own Stand up staging and production deployment on a Canadian-jurisdiction cloud provider (evaluation in final stages) — this is greenfield infrastructure work, not a migration Own CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code for staging and production environments Manage credential and secrets infrastructure (HashiCorp Vault, IAM-equivalent access controls) Maintain and extend our Hyperledger Fabric network (chaincode, MSP identities, node operations) Support GPU-backed infrastructure requirements for our AI inference layer Collaborate closely with our AI layer developer on service integration and deployment coordination What you'll need Required Strong proficiency in Go — our entire platform (gateway, identity, management, PHI, vault, communication, and blockchain services, plus shared libraries) is written in Go Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers for service-to-service communication Comfortable with Docker and containerized deployment workflows Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining production infrastructure on a cloud provider (AWS or equivalent) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and secrets management Strongly preferred Hyperledger Fabric experience, including chaincode development — this is the hardest area to onboard into without direct guidance, so prior exposure is a significant advantage Experience working with healthcare, financial, or other regulated/compliance-sensitive data environments About us VCMx is a small, fast-moving Canadian team building healthcare infrastructure with real regulatory stakes. You'll work directly with our founder and project lead, with high autonomy and direct ownership of infrastructure decisions. To apply, please submit your application along with relevant GitHub links or examples of production deployment work.
