Velan is looking for a Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization Intern to contribute to various projects in the manufacturing environment. Under the supervision of the existing team, the intern will participate in the analysis of operations, the identification of opportunities for improvement and the implementation of initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, safety and operational performance. RESPONSIBILITIES * Participate in value-added activities by applying Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methods. * Contribute to the design and optimization of production environments. * Implement and improve the layout of material resources, handling methods and manufacturing flows of products. * Organize and support the establishment of safe and efficient production sectors. * Coordinate and lead various continuous improvement projects in collaboration with field teams and stakeholders. * Analyze the performance measures of the systems for the production of goods and recommend areas for improvement. * Implement and monitor performance indicators in order to measure gains and ensure the sustainability of the actions implemented. DESIRED PROFILE * Students in Operations and Logistics Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering Student. * Experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement is an asset * Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, DMAIC or PDCA. * Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work with multidisciplinary teams. * Ability to analyze, solve problems and interpret performance indicators. * Communication, mobilization and change management skills. * Rigour, autonomy, organizational skills and results-oriented If you recognize yourself in this profile and want to take up this challenge, we will be delighted to learn more about you!
