Under the direction of the plant general manager, the maintenance supervisor leads a team of mechanics and electromechanics responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, servicing equipment in optimal conditions and in good working order. WHAT WE OFFER In addition to a job that matches your ambitions, with varied and rewarding missions, joining Velan means being part of a passionate team and enjoying exceptional working conditions: * Competitive hourly rate * All-risk insurance program and group RRSP with employer contribution * Competitive vacation policy * Paid holiday time off * Free on-site parking * Company events (health, family, sports, etc.) and various wellness initiatives * Rapid career progression and professional development opportunities RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervises maintenance activities, organizes and distributes work according to the planned planning in Maximo (CMMS) and operations priorities and monitors progress; * Ensures that preventive maintenance programs are conducted in accordance with maintenance plans, schedules and standards to minimize machine downtime. * Ensures that work is carried out in accordance with good industrial practices and safety standards; * Ensures health and safety within his/her sector of activity (behaviour, accident investigation, improvement, inspection and risk analysis) and takes the necessary actions; * Organizes and distributes work according to operational planning and priorities and monitors progress; * Communicates expectations and mobilizes employees to achieve objectives, manages employee performance; * Maintains a positive work climate by motivating, stimulating and encouraging the employees under his/her responsibility to develop their skills and take initiative in the performance of their duties; * Develops and manages the budget of his/her department in a rigorous manner; * Regularly monitors budgets and takes corrective action to meet them. * Respects the provisions and application of the collective agreement in force and maintains sound labour relations. * Reduce downtime and improve equipment performance and collaborate with production to minimize interruptions. * Participate in the management of maintenance parts and inventories. * Train, mentor and evaluate maintenance employees. YOUR PROFILE * Diploma of College Studies DEC in Industrial Mechanics * 5 to 7 years of experience in the maintenance of conventional and numerical control machinery * Relevant experience in team management * Use of a computer-aided active maintenance management system (CMMS) * Principles in Lean manufacturing * IT systems and ERP (Office, LN) * Knowledge of OHS standards and good industry practices * Good understanding of preventive maintenance programs * Experience in a company that manufactures high-precision machined parts (asset) * Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) (asset) * Bilingual French and English We are committed to the principle of employment equity and confidentiality

Leads a team of mechanics and electromechanics to execute preventive maintenance and ensure equipment is in optimal working order. Manages departmental budgets, monitors safety standards, and coordinates work priorities using CMMS to minimize machine downtime.
Requirements
Requires a College Diploma (DEC) in Industrial Mechanics and 5 to 7 years of experience in maintaining conventional and numerical control machinery. Must have team management experience and proficiency with CMMS, ERP systems, and Lean manufacturing principles.
