Position Overview: Be the first point of contact, providing exceptional service by assessing vehicle concerns, checking recalls, and keeping customers informed. Handle warranty claims, prepare repair orders, and ensure timely repairs. If you have strong communication skills and a passion for customer service, this role is for you! Principal Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in person, on the phone and via email Schedule units into reservations Check in units upon arrival and complete customer interview with Express Write Up Obtain mileage, serial number, and license plate from units; verify unit number Set up units not in Excede, check and update units already in system Verify warranty coverage and print all warranty documentation Create estimate and repair order documents from Express Write Up Check previous repair histories when required Obtain purchase order numbers and billing authorizations Confirm available credit for trade accounts and/or process cash customer payments Upsell service specials, promotions and/or QSP repairs Close all retail and internal work orders not including warranty Run Technician time reports daily for Service Department and distribute for Manager approval WIP (Work in Progress) management and maintenance Contact customers upon completion of repairs for unit pick up Call customers for return when back order parts arrive and schedule return appointment Assist Dispatcher/Foreman, Service and Mobile Technicians as required Commercial Vehicle Inspection document completion and filing Create service expense and sublet purchase orders as required Review repair orders waiting for pick up daily and contact customers with reminder Maintain service counter and driver’s lounge per Service Counter Duties Assignments list Participate in the creation, implementation, and practice of processes for Service department functions as part of Elite Support Attend department meetings and training courses as scheduled Comply with the Health and Safety Program Assignment of Responsibility duties as listed for ‘Worker’ Perform duties or special projects as assigned Required Qualifications: Knowledge of heavy duty industry Excellent customer service skills Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities Physical Demands Lifting and Carrying: Minimal Lifting and Carrying Standing, bending, sitting, kneeling: Minimal periods of standing, bending, climbing, kneeling Working Conditions Work Setting: Indoor Work Setting Noise Level: Minimal Noise Level
