The Role: As a Part Time Finance & Accounting Associate, you will report to the Finance Manager and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our finance function. This is a hands-on, entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in both accounting and financial operations within a fast-growing company. You'll work across a variety of responsibilities, from financial reporting to payroll support, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. What You'll Be Doing Support day-to-day accounting operations, including managing invoices, bills, journal entries, and payments in Xero, Float and Stripe Lead the preparation of month end accrual schedules and entries Create and maintain financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including departmental budget-to-actual updates Assist with payroll processes, including running payroll cycles, calculating commissions and benefits, and processing reimbursements Help maintain and improve finance and accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success and HR, to support business operations and financial initiatives Contribute to ad hoc analysis and special projects as the company grows Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 1-3 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or related role Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable working with data Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment A proactive, "roll up your sleeves" mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges Bonus Pursuing or interested in pursuing a CPA designation Familiarity with foundational SaaS business metrics (e.g., ARR, Churn) Exposure to modern financial tools (e.g., Stripe, Xero, Float) Interview Process Step 1: Google Meet exploratory call with HR Step 2: 1st Interview with Hiring Manager Step 3: Virtual Live Task with Hiring Manager Notes: This posting is for a current opening As part of our recruitment process, VendorPM uses artificial intelligence tools to help screen applications, assess candidate fit, and shortlist candidates for further review.
