Control the traffic around some of Greater Vancouver's most ambitious builds, from recreation complexes to schools and firehalls. Position Summary As a Traffic Control Person (TCP/Flagger) you'll direct traffic around active construction sites, set up warning and detour signage, position cones and barricades, and flag safety hazards for the crew. Between traffic control duties, you'll help the crew with general labour, including lifting, stacking, and moving materials, shovelling, and general cleanup. Ventana operates across the Greater Vancouver area so site locations may vary. As a TCP/Flagger your key accountabilities will involve: Keeping pedestrians and vehicles safe from construction activity around the site. Making sure every traffic disruption is properly permitted, planned, and controlled. Keeping approved traffic control plans on site and accessible at all times. Keeping the required personnel, signage, and equipment in place on the roadway. Helping coordinate the loading or unloading of materials from delivery trucks and equipment. Keeping the road, sidewalks and delivery areas clean, clear of materials and debris, and safe for use. Managing public safety as it relates to vehicles and pedestrians within our work zones. Communicating with other work crews (municipal, services, event) to ensure zones are not disrupted. Coordinating with any crane operators for safe lifts over public areas and make sure trucks are positioned properly. Acting as a public liaison ensuring you are a friendly and courteous Ventana representative. Performing other site duties, including cleaning, shovelling, concrete chipping, material loading, and using basic hand and power tools. As a TCP/Flagger your success is dependent on: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. The ability to anticipate problems and solve them proactively. Close attention to detail and strong situational awareness. Strong time management skills, particularly the ability to prioritize competing tasks. A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving. As a TCP/Flagger your experience and qualifications will include: A valid British Columbia TCP ticket. CSA-approved work boots (you supply your own). The ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather. TCP or construction experience, particularly with a general contractor, is an asset. A high school diploma. Legal eligibility to work in Canada for any employer. Requirements

Requires a valid British Columbia TCP ticket and CSA-approved work boots. Candidates must have a high school diploma and the physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
