Detailed Job Description This is a unique opportunity to work within an innovative not-for-profit, in an environment that is committed to promoting continuous learning, creativity and collaboration. This position is eligible for paid vacation and health and welfare benefits. The Housekeeper reports to the Housing and Shelters Manager and is responsible for providing a range of services that promote a positive appearance of the facility for both clients and staff. Working in conjunction with others, this position ensures that areas are clean and free of hazards. The successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to wash and disinfect the facility by dusting, wiping down, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, and wet mopping areas such as walls, windows, floors, air vents, furniture, and mattresses. Qualifications Grade 10 plus one (1) year of recent related experience. Requirements Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check. Job Information Hourly Wage Rate: $24.43 – $28.04. Work Location: 1460 Hillside Ave. – Hillside Terrace. Work Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Shift Times: 10:00am to 6:30pm. Total Weekly Hours: 32. Union: BCGEU. Job Type: Permanent, part-time. Portability Candidate upon hire may be eligible to transfer the hours worked with other Community Social Services Agencies under the Retention and Portability memorandum. Some restrictions may apply.
