Job summary

The loader is responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks using warehouse equipment while ensuring all components are accurately documented for shipping. They must also build pallets and crates according to specifications while adhering to risk management and continuous improvement programs.

Job details

Responsibilities: * Ensure that all components are ready for shipping and that they are secured safely for transport. * Loads and unloads trucks in a safe manner using a forklift, overhead crane, and pallet jack for maximum efficiency. * Maintains accuracy in loading/unloading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation so that all orders are received and loaded correctly. * Builds pallets and crates according to product specifications for shipping various materials and products safely. * Demonstrate the accountabilities under Vidir’s Risk Management System and Continuous Improvement Programs and lead by example. Qualifications: A combination of education and experience will be considered. * Experience working in a warehouse environment * Forklift experience (e.g., performing basic operation such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas safely, etc.) * Experience working in a team environment * Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, manufacturing principles * Basic computer skills * Basic literacy and numeracy skills Accommodations Vidir Solutions Inc. is committed to meeting the accessibility needs of all individuals in accordance with The Accessibility for Manitobans Act and the Manitoba Human Rights Code.
