Role Description The Summer Camp Leader is a seasonal, part-time on-site role located in Cremona, AB. This position is responsible for leading daily camp activities that are safe, engaging, and age-appropriate for children and youth. Responsibilities include actively engaging with campers, facilitating games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational activities, and ensuring all participants feel included and supported. The Summer Camp Leader will manage group dynamics, provide clear instructions, handle basic behavior management, and maintain a clean and orderly camp environment. The role also involves some communication with parents and guardians, following all safety and emergency procedures, and collaborating with other staff to deliver a high-quality camp experience. Qualifications Strong child and youth skills, with experience leading group activities in camps, schools, or recreational programs. Ability to facilitate creative, recreational, and educational activities that are safe, inclusive, and engaging. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, families, and team members. Knowledge of basic safety practices including personal information, risk management, and emergency procedures in a youth program setting. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, take initiative, and adapt to changing schedules or camper needs. Previous experience in summer camps, childcare, education, recreation, or related youth programs is an asset. Relevant training or certification (e.g., First Aid/CPR, child safety or recreation leadership) is an asset but not required. Must be 16years or older Must be able to meet any applicable background check requirements for working with children. Comfort with outdoor activities and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions.
