Department: Production Location: Surrey, BC V3S 4R1 Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Expected Hours: 40 hours per week Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour Level: Entry-level (no prior sign/print experience required) Who We Are Vinyl Labs is a full-service vinyl graphics and large-format print shop. We produce everything from fleet graphics and vehicle wraps to decals, window film, retail signage, and paint protection film for business customers across the region. Our production team runs the equipment and craftsmanship behind every job — printing, cutting, laminating, and finishing work that has to hold up to close inspection and tight turnaround times. We're a tight-knit shop that takes pride in getting the details right, job after job. About the Role Vinyl Labs is looking for a Production Assistant to join our Production Department. We produce vinyl graphics, decals, vehicle wraps, window film, signage, and large-format prints for a wide range of customers, from fleet graphics for local businesses to retail signage and custom decals. Our team works with tight deadlines and detail-oriented customers, so precision and reliability matter here. This is a hands-on, entry-level role. We're looking for someone who's eager to learn the trade, pays close attention to detail, and can keep pace in a fast-moving shop, while also staying productive and self-directed during quieter stretches. What You'll Do Assist with printing, laminating, and finishing vinyl graphics, decals, and large-format prints Weed, mask, and prep vinyl and print materials for application or shipping Measure, cut, and prep substrates (ACM/Dibond, styrene, polypro, foamboard, coroplast, and similar materials) Apply premask and application tape to finished graphics Check finished work against job specs and customer proofs for accuracy, colour, and quality before it goes out the door Keep the production area organized, materials stocked, and equipment clean and ready to go Support the wider production team on rush jobs and shifting priorities without letting quality slip Learn the ins and outs of our printers, materials, and workflow, with room to take on more responsibility over time What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail — you catch the small stuff before it becomes a problem A genuine willingness to learn; no prior sign/print experience required, but a plus if you have it Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities Self-motivated; able to stay productive and find useful work during slower periods, not just when things are busy Good hand-eye coordination and comfort with hands-on, detail-oriented tasks Ability to take direction well, ask questions when unsure, and work cleanly and safely Reliable, punctual, and a team player — we're a small department and depend on each other Able to lift and move materials (sheet goods, rolls of vinyl, etc.) as needed Compensation & Schedule $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience 40 hours per week, on-site at our Surrey production facility Benefits Extended health, dental, and vision coverage after the probationary period; paid vacation; on-site parking. Growth Path This role is a starting point. As you learn our printers, materials, and workflow, there is room to take on more responsibility within the production team.
