JOB SUMMARY : The incumbent provides high-quality English-to-French translation and linguistic revision services, helping to ensure the linguistic excellence, accuracy and consistency of the Network’s communications. EXIGENCES: • Certified membership in a provincial translators' association or the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC) or eligibility for same; • Bachelor's degree in translation and a minimum of five years’ experience in translation and linguistic revision; or university degree in a related field and a minimum of eight years of work experience in translation and linguistic revision; • Good mastery of current techniques and methods in translation; • Demonstrated competency in writing, revising, editing and proofreading; • Excellent knowledge of the various software applications included at a translator’s workstation; • Strong project management skills; • Strong analytical abilities, sense of initiative and good judgment; • Ability to set priorities and work under pressure; • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Expertise in identifying areas requiring verification, research or consultation; • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain excellent working relationships with clients; • Adaptability to different types of clients and the variety of their requests; • Adaptability and flexibility; • Ability to work independently and as a team member; • Physical ability to perform the assigned work; • Good work history (performance and attendance); • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values; • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network. • The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process. • Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
