While we work to integrate our job opportunities, candidates are encouraged to explore positions posted on behalf of both Bunge and Viterra A Day in the Life: The Facility Assistant supports daily grain and special crops operations by operating processing equipment, receiving and storing product, loading railcars and trucks, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role plays an important part in ensuring product quality, inventory accuracy, and safe facility operations while providing consistent, high‑quality service through regular interaction with customers and operational teams. Position Details: This is a part‑time, on‑call position. Scheduling is based on operational needs. Candidates must be available to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Mandatory overtime, extended shifts (up to 16 hours), and short‑notice schedule changes may be required What You'll Be Doing: Operate grain and special crops processing equipment, including binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing product to meet quality and shipping specifications while maximizing blending opportunities. Document and communicate bin mixes, obtain samples, and support quality analysis activities. Prepare, weigh, and load railcars and trucks for outbound shipments in accordance with shipping requirements. Prepare shipping documentation and maintain grain and special crops samples. Receive and record incoming product, noting quality, damages, or shortages, and maintain inventory through regular checks and reconciliations, escalating issues to Facility Assistant II when required. Assist with the evaluation of grades, dockage, and moisture of grains, oilseeds, and special crops under direct supervision. Perform basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs, and service equipment used in the movement of grain and special crops. Maintain facility and grounds cleanliness, ensuring work areas remain tidy and free of fire hazards in compliance with EH&S guidelines and ISO procedures. Perform other duties as required to support safe, efficient, and effective facility operations. Skills/Experience Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent. Previous experience with grain and/or special crops is considered an asset. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with customers and team members. Mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain grain processing and farm supply equipment. Valid driver’s license may be required. Physical ability to perform required duties in a grain or special crops facility, including good eyesight and color perception.
