Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Laboratory Technician role based in Edmonton, AB. The Dental Laboratory Technician will fabricate, modify, and repair dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported restorations according to the dentist’s and prosthodontist’s prescriptions. Daily tasks include model pouring and trimming, wax-ups, casting, finishing, and polishing, as well as shade matching and ensuring precise fit and function. The role involves maintaining laboratory equipment, managing materials inventory, and following strict infection control and safety protocols. The technician will collaborate closely with clinicians and administrative team members to support efficient workflows and consistently high-quality patient outcomes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including accurate model work, impression handling, and use of lab equipment. Candidates should possess Dental Technology expertise, including fabrication and adjustment of crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported restorations. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Dentistry and Prosthodontic principles to understand occlusion, esthetics, and functional requirements. Candidates should possess experience working as Laboratory Technicians, preferably in a specialized or prosthodontic dental lab setting. Candidates should possess specific skills related to Dentures, including set-up, processing, finishing, and repairs. Relevant qualifications include completion of an accredited Dental Laboratory Technology program or equivalent experience, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and strong visual-spatial skills. Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with digital workflows (CAD/CAM), strong communication skills, ability to follow detailed prescriptions, and commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
