Reporting to the Foreman, reporting to the Foreman, an Underground Laborer is responsible for providing a physical labor support during all phases of construction. An Underground Laborer provides a broad range of support in areas, such as, hand work, moving materials, clearing terrain, site preparation, shoveling and basic equipment operation How You’ll Add Value * Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment * Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite * Manually remove large rocks and debris turned up by heavy equipment, ensuring all revealed rocks and debris are clear * Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment * Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials. * Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite What You Bring * 1+ years of labouring experience in the heavy civil construction * Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions * Physically able to safely lift and carry40lbs regularly * Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed Note: Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing and Fit for Work Testing will be required. Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in heavy civil construction and possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License. The role requires the physical ability to lift 40lbs and a willingness to travel for fixed-term projects.
