Location In-Person Cochrane, Alberta When Opportunity Type Ongoing - Start Anytime Schedule Asap About This Opportunity When it snows, we are pretty socially conditioned to shovel a neighbour's walk. Its great exercise and feels good to be friendly and helpful! Our volunteer role, Snow Helpers, takes this idea and extends it for community members who need help with snow shoveling but don't have any supports in place to get it done. As a volunteer, you will be matched with one property, whose occupant in need has reached out to Helping Hands for snow removal assistance. When it snows, you get to head to the client's place and shovel, just like if that client was your own close-by neighbour. Help us make a difference this winter! We are looking for 32 new Snow Helper volunteers! You will be matched with a property in Cochrane and Western Rocky View County Volunteer Requirements Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us. You may still be a fit for a different opportunity with our organization.
