Job summary
Role Description The Building Restoration Estimator/Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto Ontario. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for building restoration and general contracting projects, including material, labor, and subcontractor pricing. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting site visits, and collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify project requirements. The Estimator/Project Manager oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents. The role also includes monitoring project progress, managing change orders, coordinating trades, and providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Construction Estimating and Project Estimation for building restoration or general contracting projects. Strong Cost Management and Budgeting skills to develop accurate estimates and manage project financial performance. Effective Communication skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams. Experience in building restoration, exterior envelope work, or structural repairs is highly beneficial. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and safety regulations. Proficiency with estimating software and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, project management software). Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
