Job Title EPIC Grand Central (GC) Consultant Job Summary We are seeking an experienced EPIC Grand Central (GC) Consultant to support the implementation, optimization, maintenance, and enhancement of the EPIC Grand Central application. The ideal candidate will collaborate with perioperative, inpatient, and clinical operations teams to configure patient movement, bed planning, transport, and hospital logistics workflows while ensuring seamless integration with other EPIC applications. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, build, and maintain the EPIC Grand Central application. Analyze hospital operations and patient flow workflows, including admissions, transfers, discharges (ADT), bed management, and patient transport. Gather business requirements and translate them into effective EPIC Grand Central solutions. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to optimize patient throughput and resource utilization. Configure application settings, security, rules, and workflows according to organizational requirements. Perform unit, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support. Support system upgrades, optimization initiatives, and new feature implementations. Develop and maintain build documentation, workflow diagrams, and training materials. Coordinate with integrated EPIC applications such as Prelude, Cadence, ClinDoc, Orders, ASAP, Radiant, and Cogito. Participate in go-live planning, deployment, stabilization, and post-production support. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting EPIC Grand Central. Active EPIC Grand Central Certification. Experience with hospital operations, patient flow, ADT, bed planning, and transport workflows. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with full-cycle EPIC implementations. Knowledge of HL7 interfaces and healthcare interoperability. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments. Familiarity with Cogito, Reporting Workbench, and Radar reporting tools. Experience supporting multi-hospital healthcare systems.
