Job summary

Position Summary... The People Lead supports the Store Manager and leadership team by leading human resources functions that promote compliance, engagement, and operational excellence. This role ensures fair and consistent employment practices, develops talent, and fosters a culture aligned with Walmart’s values through effective communication, training, and digital innovation. What you'll do... 1. Assists leadership with associate recruitment, hiring, staffing, development, succession planning, scheduling, attendance, and performance needs by identifying and analyzing HR (Human Resources) related issues; and providing guidance on the execution of company HR programs and initiatives. 2. Develops, communicates, and implements HR practices and action plans to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying data from multiple resources to ensure accuracy; monitoring strategy progress and results; and identifying and addressing process improvement opportunities. 3. Supports and advocates for associates by modeling Walmart core values; striving to ensure excellence and respect are incorporated into daily routines, store meetings, and communications; encouraging associates to lead by example and act with integrity; and correcting and/or reporting issues or concerns to management. 4. Leads and promotes the adoption of technology services and digital solutions by utilizing and sharing resources, information, and tools; and modeling and assisting associates with new ways of working implementation efforts. 5. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. 6. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices. 7. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
