Company: WaveRyde Instruments is growing its world-class technical team for quantum sensor-systems for 5G applications. The WaveRyde Instruments team includes pioneering leaders in quantum sensors and wireless technologies. Job description: We are seeking a skilled Microfabrication Process Technician to join our engineering and production team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabrications of MEMs devices and photonic integrated circuits, testing of these devices and laser coupling to these devices for advanced photonics and quantum sensing applications. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with wafer bonding, fiber optics, photonic integrated circuit fabrication and clean room operation. Not all proficiencies are required, but experience in several of these areas is attractive. Key responsibilities: · Wafer bonding for MEMs fabrication. · Photonic integrated fabrication and testing. · Contribute to and develop fabrication protocols. · Optical fiber splicing and fiber coupling to optical devices. · Handle adhesive bonding (UV-curing and epoxy) of fiber-optic components with precision and cleanliness. · Conduct optical power transmission measurements, and alignment verification in fabricated devices. · Follow detailed assembly procedures, work instructions, and quality control standards. · Maintain a clean and organized work area. · Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot assembly and test issues and provide feedback for design improvement. · Document test results and maintain fabrication records. Required qualifications: · Master’s degree with emphasis in MEMs fabrication, or a closely related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. · Strong attention to detail. · Ability to read and follow technical drawings, fabrication protocols and assembly procedures. · Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred qualifications: · 1–3 years of experience in fabrication. · Proficiency with wafer bonding, fiber optics, optical alignment tools, and semiconductor fabrication equipment.
