Chief Estimator Location: Canada (Montreal) Department: Bidding Webuild is seeking a Chief Estimator for its Montreal branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all estimating activities related to construction and infrastructure projects across Canada. The role oversees the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates, supports bid strategy development, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, and ensures alignment between Canadian operations and the Italian headquarters. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all estimating activities for tenders, proposals, and pre-construction projects. Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to develop accurate cost estimates. Coordinate inputs from Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, and external partners. Prepare and validate quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, risk assessments, and estimate summaries. Manage and mentor the estimating team, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards. Support bid reviews and management approval processes. Develop relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and key stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing. Coordinate estimating activities between Canadian operations and the Italian headquarters. Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in estimating within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector, including leadership responsibilities. Proven experience preparing estimates for large and complex infrastructure or construction projects. Strong knowledge of public and private procurement processes. Excellent analytical, commercial, and project management skills. Languages Fluent English, French, and Italian are required. Candidates should have strong knowledge of public and private procurement, excellent analytical, commercial, and project management skills, and fluency in English, French, and Italian.
