Lead Hand

LEAD HAND – Water & Sewer Construction WCL is looking for an experienced Lead Hand to support the foreman with day-to-day operations on our underground water and sewer crews. This role bridges the gap between the foreman and crew, keeping work safe, organized, and productive. What You Need 3+ years experience in underground water and sewer construction. Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, Topman or Pipelayer. Strong understanding of pipe installation, line and grade, and trench operations. Ability to coordinate labourers, pipe layers, and operators. Comfortable directing work, solving problems, and keeping crews on task. Solid knowledge of trench safety and site safety practices. Able to communicate clearly with foremen and project supervision. Safety-focused with strong leadership skills. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Required Tickets Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain). Schedule 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. 8 hour Saturdays (some planned Saturdays off). Some rain days off. Support the foreman in day-to-day operations of underground water and sewer crews to ensure work is safe and productive. Coordinate laborers, pipe layers, and operators while directing work and solving on-site problems.

Requires 3+ years of experience in underground water and sewer construction with a background as a Foreman, Lead Hand, Topman, or Pipelayer. Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and WHMIS & CSTS 2020 certifications.
