Topman Helper

TOPMAN HELPER – Water & Sewer Construction WCL is looking for a Topman Helper to support our underground water and sewer crews. This role works closely with the Topman, pipe layers, and operators to keep trench work safe, organized, and moving efficiently. Experience is preferred, but the right attitude and willingness to learn go a long way. What You Need Experience in underground water and sewer construction is an asset (not required). Willingness to learn trench support, pipe installation support, and grade control basics. Ability to assist with checking line and grade, measuring, and spotting equipment. Comfortable working around trenches, excavators, and active underground crews. Strong understanding of job site and trench safety (or willingness to learn). Able to take direction from the Topman, foreman, and operators. Physically able to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Required Tickets Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain). Schedule 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. 6 days on / 1 day off. Weather dependent work. Candidates should have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and WHMIS & CSTS 2020 certification or willingness to obtain them. The role requires physical ability to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions and a strong commitment to safety.
