Underground Labourer

UNDERGROUND LABOURER – Water & Sewer Construction WCL is looking for an Underground Labourer to join our water and sewer crew following earthworks. Experience is preferred but not required — if you’re willing to work hard, learn the trade, and be part of a solid underground crew, we want to hear from you. What You Need Previous experience in underground, water and sewer, or civil construction is an asset (not required). Willingness to learn underground work including trenching, pipe installation support, and backfill. Comfortable working in and around trenches with excavators and other equipment. Ability to use hand tools and assist pipe layers, topmen, and operators. Strong awareness of job site and trench safety (or willingness to learn). Physically able to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to take direction from foremen and crew leads. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Required Tickets Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain). Schedule 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. 6 days on / 1 day off. Weather dependent work. Perks Benefits. RRSP Program. The Underground Labourer supports water and sewer crews with trenching, pipe installation, and backfilling. They are responsible for using hand tools and assisting operators and pipe layers while maintaining strict job site safety.

Candidates must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and WHMIS & CSTS 2020 certifications or be willing to obtain them. Physical ability to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions is required.
