Job summary
WHEEL LOADER OPERATOR – Water & Sewer Construction WCL is looking for an experienced Underground Wheel Loader Operator to support our water and sewer crews. This role focuses on supporting the pipe crew with material and aggregate and keeping underground operations moving safely and efficiently. What You Need 3+ years experience operating wheel loaders in underground water and sewer or heavy civil construction. Experience with bucket, forks and snout, loading/unloading pipe and other material, spotting aggregate trucks, feeding miser boxes and buckets with rock and sand and stringing out material ahead of the install crew. Strong understanding of working around open trenches and underground crews. Ability to work closely with pipe crews, excavator operators, and foremen. Comfortable working in tight areas and active underground job sites. Ability to perform daily equipment inspections. Strong awareness of job site and trench safety. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Required Tickets Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain). Schedule 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM Monday to Friday. 8 hour Saturdays (some Saturdays planned off). Some rain days off. Potential for backfill and prep work on some Sundays and long weekends. Perks Benefits. Requirements
Requires 3+ years of experience operating wheel loaders in underground or heavy civil construction with a valid Class 5 Driver's License. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain WHMIS and CSTS 2020 certifications.
