The Junior IT Analyst supports day-to-day technology operations while helping transform financial and operational data into accurate, meaningful reports and dashboards. This role is suited to an early-career IT and data professional with practical experience using Microsoft Power BI and a strong interest in user support, business systems, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The incumbent will work with Finance, Operations, and IT to understand reporting needs, support employees, maintain reliable technology services, and contribute to informed business decisions. What Will You Do? * Develop, update, publish, and support Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports for financial, operational, and management reporting. * Work with Finance and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical data models, calculations, visualizations, key performance indicators, and drill-through reporting. * Use Power Query, DAX, Excel, and SQL to connect, clean, transform, model, and validate data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other approved sources. * Reconcile dashboard results to source systems and financial reports; investigate variances and work with Finance and system owners to resolve data-quality issues. * Document report requirements, data definitions, calculations, refresh schedules, testing results, and support procedures. * Assist with Power BI workspace organization, report access, scheduled refreshes, deployment, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, and ongoing report support. * Provide day-to-day technical support for PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, and approved business systems. * Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, peripherals, and standard workplace technology. * Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, account provisioning, permissions, device setup, software deployment, and access requests in accordance with established procedures. * Triage and resolve IT service requests, document incidents and solutions, maintain knowledge articles, and escalate infrastructure, application, or security issues when required. * Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related business applications by assisting with user issues, reporting requirements, data validation, testing, documentation, and vendor escalation. * Use SQL, PowerShell, Python, APIs, or other approved tools to analyze data, automate routine processes, and support IT and business improvement initiatives. Sound Familiar? * Diploma or degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Practical experience with Microsoft Power BI through employment, co-op, internship, consulting, or substantial applied projects, including experience working with financial or operational data. * Working knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power Query, data modelling, Excel, and SQL is preferred. Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), or active progress toward the certification, is an asset. * Understanding of financial and operational reporting concepts, with the ability to translate business questions into accurate and practical dashboards or analytical insights. * Experience supporting end users, troubleshooting hardware and software, administering Microsoft 365 applications, and documenting technical solutions. * Experience working with ERP or other business systems is an asset; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred. * Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, data validation, troubleshooting, documentation, time-management, and organizational skills. * Strong customer-service and communication skills, with the ability to support employees and explain technical or data-related information to non-technical stakeholders. * Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team, balance reporting assignments with daily support priorities, and travel or support colleagues across different time zones as required.
