Safety Coordinator Location: Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park, Alberta Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, 12-hour shifts Weldco Heavy Industries (WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park, strategically positioned in the heart of Alberta’s Oil Sands. We provide large-scale steel repair, fabrication, assembly, and refurbishment services to industry. Safety is the heart of everything we do, and we are seeking a Safety Coordinator to help lead and strengthen our culture. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will provide hands-on safety support across our operations, including: * Ensuring compliance with OHS legislation and company safety requirements. * Conducting orientations, inspections, hazard assessments, audits, and observations. * Supporting incident investigations, injury management, and the JOHSC. * Coordinating safety training and equipment inspections. * Supporting COR audits, KPI tracking, and safety reporting. * Providing safety guidance and building strong relationships with employees and leadership Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment. * Strong knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation and WCB requirements. * NCSO designation required. * Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * First Aid, WHMIS, and related post-secondary education are considered assets. Requirements
