Position Summary: The Medical Office Assistant, Central Referral Team supports referral workflows across multiple clinic sites. This role manages outgoing referrals from submission to follow-up, resolution, patient notification, and closure. The successful candidate will work with OceanMD, Oscar EMR, and Accuro to manage referral tasks, documentation, provider communication, and clinic follow-up What you will be doing: * Prepare, verify, and submit outgoing referrals with complete supporting documentation. * Monitor pending, declined, or returned referrals and take action to resolve issues. * Follow up with specialist offices and clinics within required timelines. * Use OceanMD to submit, update, track, and close referrals. * Use Oscar and Accuro EMR to manage referral tasks, documentation, and communication. * Send and track eForms for imaging, diagnostics, and other services. * Notify patients of referral submission, next steps, and relevant updates. * Document referral activity and patient communication in the appropriate EMR. * Support referral workflows across multiple assigned clinics. * Escalate urgent, incomplete, or complex referral concerns as needed. You have: * MOA certificate or equivalent healthcare administration experience. * Experience in a clinic, specialist office, or referral coordination role preferred. * Experience with OceanMD, Oscar EMR, and Accuro preferred. * Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently in a remote environment. * Understanding of BC healthcare privacy requirements preferred.
