October 1, 2026 NORTH WELLINGTON HEALTH CARE PALMERSTON & DISTRICT HOSPITAL AND LOUISE MARSHALL HOSPITAL POSTING #2026-227 DIETARY AIDE (CASUAL - CROSS SITE) A casual cross-site Dietary Aide position is available within our Support Services Department at North Wellington Health Care (Palmerston and District Hospital & Louise Marshall Hospital). The home site for this position is Palmerston and District Hospital. This position is unionized with OPSEU, Local 226. RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the preparation, assembly, service, delivery and storage of food for use within the patient care and cafeteria settings; including the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work area. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Grade 12 Food Service Worker Program Certificate or willingness to obtain Safe Food Handling Certificate Experience in a Healthcare Dietary setting preferred Experience in quantity food preparation and cooking Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and communication skills Ability to follow instructions accurately Excellent record of dependability Satisfactory performance and attendance required Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired HOURS OF WORK: Day, evening and weekend shifts as per department schedule, on an as needed basis As per Collective Agreement SALARY: $28.66 - $29.26 per hour Interested applicants please submit your cover letter and resume on BambooHR at the following link: https://whca.bamboohr.com/jobs/ by 4:00pm on October 9, 2026.
