Wesley is a long-standing local non-profit, offering support for people experiencing poverty, homelessness, and barriers in the community. We provide programs and services to meet diverse community needs in Hamilton as well as Halton Region and Brantford – Brant. As a multi-service organization, we offer Children, Youth & Family Services, Housing & Homelessness Services and Newcomer & Community Services. The long-term impact of our programs includes improved education, successful employment and supportive independence. As an organization, we are innovative, creative, evidence-based and financially responsible. We began in 1955 with one program in the basement of Wesley United Church in downtown Hamilton and now offer more than thirty different programs in twenty different locations. Wesley’s services are possible through a broad base of funding support from government, business, foundations, churches and individuals. Wesley’s legal charitable name is Wesley Urban Ministries. In 2018, an operating name of Wesley was registered and is the forward-facing name of the organization.

The Intensive Case Manager provides intake support and carries out day-to-day administrative services for homeless families and individuals. They conduct home visits to provide life skills training, crisis intervention, and assistance with housing plans and community integration.

The Community Wellness Worker provides mobile mental health and wellness support to residents in the Halton Region dealing with hoarding concerns. They are responsible for assessing client needs, implementing structured CBT programs, and collaborating with community partners to prevent evictions and improve social functioning.

The Provincial Youth Outreach Worker provides support to at-risk youth by connecting them with community services and pro-social opportunities. This role involves community outreach, building neighborhood capacity, and maintaining accurate service data in the TREAT database.

Develop, implement, and evaluate after-school programming for children in grades 1 to 6 while ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Maintain community partnerships, manage program statistics, and provide direct supervision to children in accordance with organizational and ministry guidelines.

The Relief Youth Worker provides in-person social and recreational programming for youth aged 13-18 while fostering a safe and inclusive environment. They collaborate with outreach teams to connect youth to community supports and maintain accurate program statistics and reports.
