With the intent to offer the Medical Lab Assistant program, WCC invites applications from eligible and experienced candidates for the position of Instructor for the Medical Lab Assistant Program. Job Title: MLA Instructor Responsibilities: Participate in the development of curriculum as per the BCSLS Competencies for Lab Assistants. Provide excellent learning and teaching experiences for students Participate in the academic progress of students through constant evaluation and feedback Collaborate with stakeholders to support a high-quality learning environment. Contribute to and support a healthy, collegial and scholarly work environment through professional practice and professional development. Qualifications: Certified Medical Lab Assistant with more than 10 years of work experience working in the field OR teaching experience of more than 2 years in the same field. For the teaching laboratory section, the required qualification is a Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract (From October 1, 2026, to March 15, 2027) Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Job Type: Part-time Benefits: Extended health care Experience: MLA: 10 years (required) Work Location: In person

Requirements

Candidates must be a Certified Medical Lab Assistant with over 10 years of experience or have at least 2 years of teaching experience in the field. For the laboratory section, a Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist qualification is required.
