The Floorhand is responsible for performing general labour, equipment operation, and maintenance tasks that support safe and efficient drilling rig operations. Working as part of the rig crew, the Floorhand follows established safety procedures, assists with drilling activities mainly on the rig floor and general housekeeping at rig location. Duties and Responsibilities Perform general labour duties Clean and maintain equipment under direction of Driller or Rig Manager Participate in pre-job safety meetings, hazard assessments and emergency response drills Identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and equipment hazards immediately. Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the rig site Work as part of team, communicating with crew members and supervisors Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum 18 years of age Previous drilling rig experience working in Floorhand position is preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Mechanical aptitude Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Industry Certifications Preferred: H2S Alive Standard First Aid with CPR CSO (Common Safety Orientation) Ability to pass pre-employment testing Fluent in Written/Spoken English Be willing to work in all weather conditions and work environments with work away from home for periods of time What we offer: Immediate Employee Benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage Matched Savings Program - up to 5% Floorhand position is full-time seasonal position.
