Role Description The Agro Team Member is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This position supports daily operations in the agro department, including assisting guests with product selection, answering questions about agricultural supplies, and providing informed recommendations. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, stocking and rotating inventory, and monitoring product levels to ensure availability. The Agro Team Member processes transactions accurately, supports merchandising and promotional activities, and follows all safety and compliance procedures. Collaboration with colleagues and a strong focus on delivering consistent, friendly guest service are essential aspects of this position. Qualifications Experience or interest in agriculture, farm supply, or rural community services, with the ability to learn product knowledge relevant to agro operations. Strong guest service and communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse guests in a professional and respectful manner. Basic math and computer skills for handling point-of-sale transactions, inventory checks, and simple documentation. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving products, and working on feet for extended periods. Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety guidelines and operating procedures. Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals, with flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Previous retail, co-operative, or agro experience is an asset but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; a background in agriculture or related fields is considered an advantage.
