Job Description The Patient Care Assistant will perform duties related to the preparation and post exam care of patients for CT and MRI studies. Accountabilities: Customer service Ensuring patient completion of pre-screening documents Intravenous insertion where indicated Providing instructions to patients such as waiting or changing into a gown Duties also include basic patient care Qualifications Graduate of certified medical laboratory assistant program or equivalent program including venipuncture Health sciences background with preference to candidates with medical radiation technology experience Medical terminology Venipuncture experience required CPR certification an asset Customer service skills Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, terminology and workflow including CT and MRI an asset Knowledge of diagnostic imaging computer systems an asset (i.e. PACS, RIS, HIS) Knowledge of MRI safety and radiation safety practices an asset Previous training on safe lifting and transferring techniques an asset Computer knowledge Multi-tasking ability/critical thinking/problem solving Team player/excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organizational skills, able to prioritize Ability to work in a fast paced and inter-professional team environment Innovative and willing to learn Demonstrate individual leadership Self- motivated Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration Ability to work independently or in a team environment Additional Information Hours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements) SALARY: Minimum: $30.49 per hour Maximum: $35.15 per hour Internal application deadline: [August 21, 2026] Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
