Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk (Mid-to-Senior Level) Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid) $95K-$110K base plus bonus We are partnering with a reputable, well-established mid-sized firm in Toronto to recruit a Sr. Real Estate Law Clerk. This position sits within an active, highly collaborative real estate group handling a diverse portfolio of commercial transactions for a strong client base. Primary Responsibilities File Management: Independently run commercial real estate files through the entire lifecycle, ensuring all critical milestones and closing dates are met. Documentation: Draft, revise, and organize transactional paperwork, including purchase and sale agreements, conveyancing documents, and loan/security packages. Due Diligence: Perform and review comprehensive title and off-title searches, identifying and resolving potential title defects or requisitions. Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate directly with financial institutions, borrowers, purchasers, sellers, and opposing counsel to drive efficient closings. Problem-Solving: Work alongside lead partners to resolve deal complexities and streamline transactional workflows. Qualifications & Background Experience: 5+ years of direct experience handling commercial real estate files in Ontario. Education: Law Clerk Diploma, ILCO certification, or equivalent practical legal experience. Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Ontario title searching, registrations, conveyancing, and commercial financing structures. Core Skills: Exceptional organization, high attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple active files under tight timelines.
