The job is hands-on: you design parts, machine or print them, assemble them, and go test them. The work 3D design (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent) and rapid prototyping: machining, 3D printing, welding Selection and integration of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components Working directly with the electronics and software team Assembly, field testing, validation, documentation What you need Solid mechanical foundation: design, strength of materials, assembly Hands-on prototyping experience: machining, welding, hydraulic/pneumatic assembly Initiative, autonomy, and curiosity across varied projects Nice to have Drone experience Basic robotics knowledge Experience with fast R&D cycles Comfortable in a small team moving quickly $80,000 a year, full-time, on-site in LaSalle.
